Shohreh Solati was born on January 4, 1957, in Khoramabad, Iran. Shohreh is of Iranian descent. Shortly before the Iranian Revolution, Shohreh left Iran to perform in a series of concerts in the United States. However, she was not able to return to Iran because of the restriction imposed on entertainers by the new leadership. So, she decided to settle down in New York, and soon after she got married as well. Shohreh and others exiled Iranian singers faces some difficulties to re-establish the community as the revolution came unexpectedly.

Shohreh left New York in 1982 and moved to Los Angeles where she settled with the exiled Iranian music industry of the 1970s, who also established in that city. She produced and released several albums working with songwriters, composers, and arrangers. Most of these albums reminded people of the golden years of Iranian life just a few years before. Her songs comforted many Iranians struggling at that time and gained wide fame and popularity as well.

Jaan Jaan, Salam, Sheniddam, and Sedaayeh Paa were some of her notable albums during this period.
However, it was not until the release of the album Zan that she unequivocally garnered positive reviews from critics. Her songs in that album not only highlighted the greater recognition of women’s rights but also underlined the importance of women’s duties.

She released her new song titled Kafi Nabood Barat in 2021.
